Description of Charity/Foundation:
Ploughshares Calgary is a local not-for-profit that seeks reduced reliance on military responses to international and civil disputes and the abolition of nuclear weapons. Formed in 1984, we maintain an office with a half-time staff person. We host regular educational nights on a variety of peace and justice topics as well as our November Holiday Peace Fair craft sale, the August Hiroshima memorial Floating Lantern ceremony and ongoing fundraising activities.
