Volunteer Treasurer for ABOUTFACE

Description of Charity/Foundation:
AboutFace is a national charity supporting individuals and families affected by facial differences. For 35 years, AboutFace provided programs and services focused on psychosocial health and wellness and public education and awareness.

Description of Role:
We are seeking a treasurer for our national charity. The treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with best practice and in line with the legal requirements of the organization. They are responsible for:

Liaising regularly with management on financial matters;
Ensuring effective financial measures, controls, and procedures are in place for the organization;
Reporting to the board at regularly scheduled meetings regarding the financial health of the organization;
Sitting on and participating in the Executive Committee of AboutFace; and
Ensuring the financial component of the T3010B Information Return are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

Certification or Education Required
We will consider applications from individuals with the following designations: CPA, CA, CGA, CMA or CFA
Applicable Interests:
Interest in finance, governance, and organizational development.
Duration of Term:
2 Years or More
